OUR HISTORY

1990

When Lucia Matasa, Augsburg's CEO and owner decided she needed to use her wide experience in the knitwear manufacturing to help her create her own factory, everything was still to be built from zero. But her "no problem comes without its yet-to-be-found-solution" attitude soon helped Augsburg be built. It was just one building at the time, 3 employees, the clients were fewer and everything was to be developed.

2000

Augsburg's hard work and attitude soon made the business grow, with then 71 employees and a reputation was being built throughout the years, making the number of clients and orders greater. The factory soon extended to create another building to support the growing business. Augsburg's research for quality has always been an important mission, and as the years passed, the transition to a quality-only factory started to become reality.

TODAY

Today Augsburg counts 300 employees,  three buildings : including the new building constructed in 2010 to support the growth of the company. With extremely strong relations with our long time clients and yarn spinners, and with a positive attitude to welcoming new clients and developing challenging styles, the factory keeps growing every year, and has now made a name for itself in the knitting industry.
